Cross Country Festival - February
Wickford Family Cross Country
On Thursday 28th February children from Hilltop, Runwell, Oakfield, Grange, Abacus, Wickford and North Crescent took part in the Wickford Family Cross Country Festival. This year the event was held a new venue, Wickford Primary School and once again the Year 3 and 4 competitors ran 1000m and Year 5 and 6 1500m around the school field grounds. It was a cold, wet and damp day but the children remained positive and full of enthusiasm!

In the team competition the top four runners count towards the team score. All the schools above will now compete again at the Partnership Finals on Wednesday 27th March at William De Ferrers School. Joining them will be the top three individual runners from each event.
