Evacuation Day
As part of their World War II topic the children got to dress up for evacuation day. They learnt to cook wartime 'carrot' cookies with their rations, get 'evacuated' to different places around the school, write letters home to their parents and learn wartime songs which they sung to their parents in the afternoon.
