Pond Dipping - May 2016

As part of our Science work about habitats we have been looking at how we can make our pond a sustainable environment.  We have been making careful observations of the pond by recording the daily changes to the air and water temperature as well as exploring which creatures and plants are already inhabiting our pond.  We found evidence of bloodworms, newts, snails, flies and possible midge harvas along with algae on the surface of the pond.

These investigations will help us to decide which creatures and plants will be sustainable in our pond.
