As part of the Year 5 topic on 'The Battle of Britain', the children came dressed as evacuees and were taken back in time to World War II where they can experience life in the war. They have planted vegetables, made code breakers, darned socks, sewed messages for the soldiers and 'evacuated' to different classes to undergo chores, as well as cooking rations with Mr & Mrs Tinton.
The children have had an amazing time and hopefully enjoyed their experience!
A big thank you to Mr & Mrs Tinton for coming in to cook with the children.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
