Welcome to the Friends of Oakfield:

The Friends of Oakfield (FOO) would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year! We hope you have had an enjoyable Christmas break.

FOO already has a lot planned for 2019 and we are looking forward to organising some new events, as well as all of the usual favourites. Before any of our 2019 events, we have the FOO Annual General Meeting (AGM) scheduled for Thursday, 17th January at 6.30pm.

FOO would like to invite you to this meeting as it is open for all parents to attend. This is an excellent opportunity to see what events are being planned by FOO during the year, understanding how these events benefit the school, contribute new ideas and suggestions, and possibly become more involved. There's no pressure to join the committee if you don't want to and no commitment is made by attending the meeting.

A new committee will however be voted in at the AGM, so this is a perfect opportunity for any parents to join the committee. We are a small team and would happily welcome new committee members. If you are interested in joining the committee, you can choose to give as much or as little time as you are able to. No experience is needed and a few hours helping at our events can make a significant difference to the school. All of the current committee members are working parents so we understand that most parents don't have a lot of spare time and the committee really appreciates all of the help that we get.

We would also like to welcome parents who are looking to be involved as a parent helper rather than join the committee. We are always keen to hear new ideas for events, so please feel free to come along and pass on your thoughts.

Thanks for your continued support and we look forward to seeing you on Thursday.

Our current team are:
